Top Portuguese side Benfica are reportedly close to signing 22yo Nigerian international right-back Tyronne Ebuehi from ADO Den Haag according to top Portuguese publication Ojogo
Ebuehi has been in the news of late with several reports linking him to English Championship side Norwich city
However in an interview granted on Omroepwest.nl at the club’s training base in Belek The Nigerian International refuted the move to Norwich
“I’m enjoying myself here. I still learn every day. If I can sign here, I would really like to do that. But I am also just honest.
I do not think the offer I received is very good, I think some rumours are pretty funny.
“I would have signed a pre-contract. That is not true either.” Ebuehi told Omroepwest.nl
Ebuehi is currently in a negotiating stalemate with Ado Den hagg with a view to a contract renewal with the Dutch club.
The player has not yet agreed on a possible renewal and Benfica is currently monitoring the situation and have entered into negotitation according to O Jogo.
Ebuehi contract was set to expire in the summer which would allow the Portuguese team get him cheap
Ebuehis coach at Ado Hagg however is still holding on to the hope that the player will stay with the club but admits interest in the player is getting more everyday
