Netherlands-based striker, Sophia Omidiji has been invited to the Super Falcons for the upcoming friendly against France this Friday
The eight –time African champions will be up against their French counterparts at the Stade MMArena in the city of Le Mans, France on Friday, 6th April 2018 and Sophia Omidiji has received a late call up to join the squad
It is thought that the Dutch based forward was a late replacement for African Womens player of the year Asisat Oshoala who opted out to sort out her work permit in China.
The 20-year-old Omijidi who was born in Las Vegas currently plays for Dutch female topflight side S. B. V Excelsior in Rotterdam.
Sophia earlier played for KAA Gent in the Belgium Division I, where she scored 18 goals with 12 assists in 20 games.
She was earlier invited to the camp of Nigeria’s U-20 side Falconets ahead of a 2016 World Cup qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo
The home based delegation are expected to jet out from Nigeria from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while the foreign based including the S. B. V Excelsior striker Sophia will join the team at the Mercure Le Mans Centre in France
