Turkish top side Galatasaray have agreed a deal in principle for Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa to join the club on loan for next season, according to reports in Turkey.
According to Turkish TV Channel A Sport, the 2017/18 Super Lig champions have reached a verbal agreement with the 25-year-old to spend next season on loan in Istanbul
Musa who is currently at the World Cup with Nigeria is expected to break ties with the Foxes this summer after an underwhelming two seasons with the 2015/16 Premier League champions.
The 25 year old made just one competitive appearance for Leicester’s first team in the 2017/18 campaign, before returning to his former club CSKA Moscow on loan in January.
Musa enjoyed a successful return to CSKA scoring seven goals in 16 games for the Russian side and contributing with three assists but despite that it is clear the Nigerian will not be making his return to CSKA permanent
Hours before coming on as a sub in Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Croatia Ahmed Musa sent an emotional farewell message to CSKA Moscow following the official completion of his six-month loan deal from Leicester City.
While at CSKA his overall record was an impressive 61 goals and 32 assists in 184 appearances
It is expected an announcement would be made after the world cup to allow the player focus on the tournament
