Nigerian National team manager Gernot Rohr has hinted that Leicester City’s Nigerian Strike Pair Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa will switch clubs this transfer window
The German tactician was speaking on a popular Sports programme Monday night football on SuperSportTV
Iheanacho has struggled for game-time under Claude Puel and Rohr expects the striker, along with City team-mate Ahmed Musa who is also struggling for game time to move on this January.
The striker has made just six appearances this season after his move from Manchester City and hasn’t even made the substitute’s bench on occasions
“We want our players to get regular football so players like Iheanacho, Musa would have to go on transfer”
“It is important to be match fit We are in a transfer month and I expect these players who are not playing regularly especially Musa and Iheanacho to get another club in the same league or elsewhere”
“To play in the lower division and be active is even okay because this is a crucial time for world cup preparations” he concluded
Popular UK tabloid The Sun also reported that City will cut their losses on the £25million Nigerian international Ieanacho who signed just five months ago.
Also Foxes manager Claude Puel told Kelechi Iheanacho earlier this week that he needs to improve all aspects of his game if he is to force his way into the starting line-up
