FC Ifeanyi Ubah has suspended the club’s Team Manager, Jonathan Igwe for four matches following the abandonment of the opening game of the 2016/2017 NPFL season between Kano Pillars and FC Ifeanyi Ubah on the 14th of January, 2017 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
In a Press Release issued by the club the clubs states That the Team Manager, Mr. Jonathan Igwe in a rather autocratic and unprofessional manner and went on to Apologize to all its fans the NPFL and stakeholders and the Govenor of Kano state for the eventual abandonment of the match between Kano Pillars
The statement also stated that team manager Mr. Jonathan Igwe is suspended for four (4) football matches with immediate effect and will forfeit one (1) month salary/allowances

The Federation Cup winners had protested the cancellation of what they deemed a legitimate free-kick goal scored by Prince Aggreh on the dot of half-time in the NPFL season 2016/2017 Match-day One game on Saturday
The referee insisted she had blown for half-time and the match was then abandoned by FC ifeanyi Ubah after 50 minutes after centre referee, Folusho Ajayi sent an FC IfeanyiUbah official to the stands for questioning her decision of issuing a yellow card to one of his players, Valentine Nwabili.
Pillars took the lead in the 30th minute of the encounter through Gambo Mohammed.
The LMC is expected to sanction FC IfeanyiUbah and Igwe for their act.
