Nigerian youngster Kelechi iheancho continued his steady rise to the pinnacle of world football with a goal and an assist for Manchester City in the Manchester Derby at old Trafford on Saturday

Iheancho scored his goal on 35 minutes for city albeit fortuitously after Kevin De Bruyne shot ricocheted off the post and into his path with the offside trap from City failing
Iheancho also had a hand in citys first goal.
Kolarov, from the left-back position, right in the corner of the pitch, lumped the ball up-field to Iheanacho whos headed flick-on lands for De Bruyne who runs in behind through on goal and disguises a lovely finish to slide in past David De Gea.
It was Manchester City all the way as they dominated the game and it soon 2 0 to Manchester City as Kelechi Iheanacho doubled Manchester City’s lead.
United’s defenders stood motionless as Kevin De Bruyne picked up the ball in the penalty area and fired towards the bottom left-hand corner. The ball hit the foot of the upright and rebounded to Iheanacho, who was quickest to react as he slotted into an empty net from six yards
The Nigerian 19 year old looked forlornly at the linesman thinking that he might have been offside before celebrating.

United had a free-kick just inside City’s half and Rooney sent the ball wafting high into the penalty area. Under pressure from John Stones, Bravo flapped at the ball and it broke to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His finish was sublime as he rifled home on the half-volley from a reasonably tight angle.
Iheancho was substituted on the 53rd minute for Fernando to provide stability in the middle of the park as Guardiola looked to stem United’s fast start to the second half .
