Nigerian soccer legend and ex Arsenal of England star Kanu Nwankwo has paid glowing tributes to former Boss Arsene Wenger
Wenger announced his decision to resign as Gunners boss and leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the campaign after a 22-year reign
The three-time Premier League winner and seven-time FA Cup winner will depart when the current campaign reaches its conclusion.
And Kanu who was signed by Wenger in 1999 and played under the French man for 5 seasons has praised the Frenchman saying he has left shoes that will be hard to fill
Kanu made this declaration via social media
“Big shoes for anyone to fill,playing for Arsenal under Arsene was one of the best period of my career,” Kanu wrote
“2 premiership, 2 FA cups, The invincibles, playing with some of the best assembled players,influencing millions of fans in Africa to support this great club.”
Kanu made 198 appearances and scored 44 goals during his five-year spell at Arsenal under Wenger
