Nigerian Defender Ola Aina has joined Hull City on a season-long loan from English Champions Chelsea.
The 20 year old Nigerian is the first major arrival at Hull since Leonid Slutsky was appointed as manager in June
“The Tigers have signed 20-year-old right back Ola Aina on a season-long loan from Premier League Champions Chelsea,” An official statement from the club read
“I’m very excited to be here and it is the start of a new chapter in my career.” Aina said on Hull’s official website
“I just want to hit the ground running,”.
Despite being born in London and winning caps with England youth teams up to under-20 level, Aina has declared his allegiance to Nigeria.
The right back made three substitute appearances in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup, and started two EFL Cup games last season
He has twice won the Uefa Youth League with Chelsea and has been part of three FA Youth Cup-winning sides at Stamford Bridge.
He now Joins up with the rest of the squad to fly to Portugal for a pre-season training camp
