The Nigerian Professional Football league match between Enyimba of Aba and Katsina united did not end well as the match ended with scenes of violence
Katsina United playing at home came back from a goal down to record a 2-1 victory over Enyimba of Aba before all hell broke loose at the end of the match
Team officials and Players of the peoples elephants were attacked and brutalized with several of them sustaining various degrees of injuries
The fans of the home side aggrieved over Enyimba’s Ghana international goalkeeper Fatai Dauda punched a ball boy and proceeded to pelt them with stones and sticks as they fled for the cover of their team Bus which was also vandalized with the driving mirrors and wind screen of the team smashed
In the game two times African champions took an early lead through Chinedu Ohanachom in the 21st minute but could not hold on and Katsina united completed a remarkable comeback courtesy of two second half goals from Obinna Eleje (46th minute) and Chinedu Udechukwu (83ed minute)
The Drama then began with Dauda’s punching of the ball boy who lost consciousness and In an the attack on Enyimba started in retaliation, with their team bus pelted with stones and objects which shattered glasses, inflicting injuries on players in the process.
Ghanian international goalie Fatai Dauda was reported to be seriously injured while the ball boy he punched was said to be on life support at the intensive care unit
Both clubs have been trading blames on social media while the league management investigate the matter
