Watford Manager Walter Mazzarri has hailed Nigerian Forward Isaac Success on his impact in the hornets 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane while admitting the youngster “still needs to grow”
The 20 year old Isaac Success was handed his 1st start in about six months as Walter Mazzarri was forced into four changes against title-chasing Spurs, thanks to an injury crisis.
The Nigerian International however stood out despite the entire team performing rather poorly as they fell to goals to Dele Alli, Eric Dier and a Heung-Min Son brace
“He still needs to grow, but he did well.” Mazzarri told the Hertfordshire Mercury
“He’s a very young player and he still doesn’t have 90 minutes in his legs.”
“He can do much better in some situations with the ball because he can damage other teams.”
“Of course he needs more continuity to play better, game by game, but I put him in the side because of injuries, not for technical decisions.”
Despite also not being at his best Success was the liveliest of the Watford side making surging runs into the oppositions defence and completed a couple of takeons
This is Watfords first defeat in three games and they drop to 11th place.
