Wilfred Ndidi has said he is honored to have been named the Leicester city Young player of the year
The 20 year old Nigerian Defensive Midfielder was speaking to Leicester TV shortly after picking up the award
“I feel really happy and I’m honored” Ndidi to Leicester TV
He also spoke on beating prominent and exciting young English talents Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell to the award
“Demarai Gray and Ben Chilwell are great players.”
“ I never really expected the award because of the kind of players they are.”
“ I feel if they had more chances to play theyd have gotten this (award)”
Ndidi, was voted as Leicester City’s Young Player of the Year at an award ceremony held on Monday night despite just joining the Foxes in January from Belgium.
He has become a key player for the Craig Shakespeare led side since joining Leicester City from Genk in a deal worth £18 million making 15 appearances in the Premier League and scoring two goals.
