Nigerias Super Falcons were soundly beaten by their French counterparts 8 – 0 in an international friendly on Friday night in the MMArena in Le Mans, France
Valérie Gauvin scored a hat-trick as France thrashed the African champions without working up a sweat in what was new coach Thomas Dennerby’s first game with the main team of the Super Falcons.

The story wasn’t any different in the 2nd half as the French girls continued where they left off adding 5 more goals despite Dennerby making Changes to the side
Aminata Diallo scored the 6th for france as it became obvious the Falcons were in for a rout
Valérie Gauvin scored her second and third goals in the 70th and 80th min to completed her hattrick and take scores to 6 nil in favour of France
To add salt to Injury veteran defender Faith Ikidi scored an own goal in the 85th minute to make it 7 -0 to the French and then Marie Charlotte Leger scored the last 3 minutes into stoppage time
